What is the Twin Bridges Craft Market?
It is an open air Market where vendors can rent space to sell what
they have made, grown or harvested.
Storage cabins are available for merchandise storage on some spaces.
It is not in competition with local farmers’ markets. It is a supplement to
them.
Where is it located?
The Market is located on U.S. Hwy 221 South, just south of the twin
bridges crossing the New River. It is between West Jefferson and U.S. Hwy
421 in Ashe County, North Carolina.
What can be sold at the Market?
If it is handmade, homemade or grows in the ground, you can sell
it. Antiques are the only used items permitted for sale.
What is provided to vendors?
- Exclusive use of a specific 16 foot by 12 foot space 24/7/365 Gravel
parking area
- Ground maintenance
- Road sign at entrance advertising the Market
- Portable toilet facilities
(Electricity and water is NOT provided
at this time.)
Why should I lease a space at the Market?
- Vendors can stay open as long as they want, 7 days a week, 365
days a year.
- U.S. 221 has a high traffic count each day of
the year (7,200 cars on average per day)
so the potential customer base,
whether local or seasonal residents or tourists is extremely
high.
- Easy access and parking to the Market.
- Spacious vendor spaces and
common area.
How much does it cost and what do I do to lease a space?
Vacant 16’ x 12’ space is $75.00 per month. Storage cabin (16’ x
12’) is $200 per month.
